Need for trained personnel for organizational science derived primarily from the strategic choices of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the functioning and development of information technology based on a high international level. It is necessary to include Bosnia and Herzegovina in the international division of labor and integration and into international integration and using the comparative advantages of geographical position.

Organizational sciences are relatively young scientific discipline that starts systematically studied at some university / university centers between I. and World War II, and are experiencing a full development in the second half of the 20th century and have significantly contributed to the development of economy and society in general.

Information technology

Undergraduate program of Information Technology has a fundamental goal of quality education of students who will be able to successfully work on planning, designing, construction and maintenance of information systems in the private and public sectors.

The structure and content of the program allows the student to gain knowledge and skills to solve complex problems in bachelor's or engineer high-level. The level of knowledge and understanding that students acquire is sufficient to enable the professional engineering work and solve complex problems in practice. Through a general knowledge of information systems and technology, the user is able to develop software support, implementation of solutions, efficient use of computers at the level of operating systems and office applications, and a database formatting.

The need for personnel of indicated profile is evident from the comparative analysis of the current state of the number and quality of personnel who work on similar tasks in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the developed countries that can serve as an example. The fact that the European Union is currently missing about 400 000 IT professionals illustrates the justification of this study at the regional level.

The proposed program of study is linking the system approach and methods with basic engineering skills in the domain of information systems and technology. Technology is viewed in a broader sense to include integral monitoring of technical solutions (hardware, software, etc.), organization and management. Understanding and modeling the organizational processes and the necessary IT support provides the basis for a successful business and action.
