NATO school in Međugorje has been completed

Second NATO's summer school was held in Međugorje, organized by the Atlantic Council. Students of the school, which lasted from 27-30  August, were students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the students of College "Logos Center" in Mostar, European Union countries and the United States.

During the three-day NATO summer school, which took place at St. Nikola hotel in Međugorje, delegations from Bosnia and Herzegovina participated; representatives of the diplomatic corps, intellectuals, scientific workers, representatives of the media.

President of the Federation of BiH Marinko Čavara expressed his satisfaction regarding the interest of young people on topics such as European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Among other things, on the second NATO summer school which ended on Tuesday,  it was said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently in the phase of activation of its membership in NATO. With this step the obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina are increasing in the political and economic field.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is not the only country in the region that wants to become an equal member of the most powerful military and political alliance in the world. Slovenia and Croatia are already in the selected company, and from the countries in the region, Montenegro is closest to the membership.

During the three day lectures it was stressed that BiH processes and conditions of joining the European Union and NATO are parallel or even equal, and if it strives to become a modern, democratic society, then the privilege of entering into both alliances will be felt very much.
