Profile of staff that will be trained in Business Economy study programs must be different from the profile of classical economists.

The profile must have business-management orientation with modern technological knowledge and operational skills and intercultural characteristics that can be acquired only in modern profiled higher institution such as the "Logos centar" College in Mostar.

Basically therefore should focus on the new paradigm of management, accounting and finance, public sector management and administration. Business Economy is to be understood as "learning on integrated management in the organizations."

Business Economy, to be seen, only to the process of managing organizations (institutions, companies, government structures) in the traditional theories of Business Economy can be defined as "the effort to achieve goals through planning, organizing, leading and controlling."

Assumption thesis is to determine the needs in the areas of economic education students; it radically changed approach to understanding the economy and economic values. Primarily focusing on healthy socio-economic systems, which operate on the basis of knowledge and the educated employees, interactively linked with financial successful consumer of products and services. On this basis the companies are located as members of the global and the local communities and they operate in large organizational networks and systems. Their business activities are technologically intensive and require skilled workers who are educated in the finest academic institutions.

"Logos centar" College in Mostar has the ambition for education the personnel for this training profile to contribute to the dynamics of the economic life of the region, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider area and to adopt adequate speed necessary knowledge in all areas of Business Economy, which are the need of business people.

Finance and Accounting

Knowledge and skills that outcomes after studies, economists of accounting and financial direction will be able to independently manage the business records of small businesses, craft and nonprofit organizations. Likewise, they will be able to download technical tasks in the frame of the accounting and financial professions medium-sized and large businesses, and to download organizational functions in the part related to the accounting and financial jobs in companies, banks and insurance companies.

Graduates of accounting and financial profession will be trained to perform tasks in the field of financial management, financial accounting and reporting, controlling, management accounting, business planning and review.

Management

Knowledge and skills which outcomes after the studies, economists, the direction of Management, students are trained to work and professional development of research, planning and designing a business organization and its parts, the management at all levels of staff, management of human resources, production management, project management, rewarding management, consultancy in the field of organization, management and re-engineering, change management and crisis management, and research and development operations in scientific and educational institutions.

Public Sector Management and Administration

Knowledge and skills that outcomes after the studies, economists, the direction of Public Sector Management and Administration is to manage the complexity of a large number of functions of public administration and optimization of information, value and above all financial flows in the system administration. Also in the realm of work and assignments within the jurisdiction of this study direction is to follow a large number of citizens and other clients that provide services and resolve requests, controlling the effects of management functions at multiple levels (level units of government, and local government, the level of executive departments , the level of operational recruitment); planning future projects, actions and activities that involve the whole multidimensionality interaction (budget plan, liabilities and receivables, the plan of environmental protection, zoning, building infrastructure systems, etc.

Entrepreneurship and Business Management

Upon completion of the study direction Entrepreneurship and Business Management students acquire the competence to understand the process of growth of business ventures based on knowledge and innovation, ie. are trained to conduct business system with growth potential. Qualitative and quantitative research methods of the real world are systematized in a coherent way that allows critical relationship using such methods.

Program content provided education for the use of modern information and communication technologies in business is of special importance. Basic and advanced competence in the field of business and economics skills enables independent professional and personal development for students after graduation.

Financial Management, Banking and Insurance

The knowledge that the student acquires upon completion of the study course of Financial Management, Banking and Insurance is quantitative and qualitative knowledge in the field of finance (public and commercial), banking and insurance, analytical and control activities in these areas, the management of the finance companies, stock exchanges work, etc.

The jobs that student after graduation may perform are: operations of analysis and planning, financing, investments, receivables and payments, brokerage services, insurance and reinsurance operations, budget, etc.

Corporate communications

After graduation, students will gain knowledge and skills in the field of corporate communications. First of all they will be able to determine the value and importance of internal and external communications of the corporation; building the image – of the corporation itself and of all of its employees, all with a view to their good positioning in public.

In addition to above listed, students after the study will be able and trained to:
- Know what brand is, brand value and advertising value;
- How to sell advertising product and enhance its sale;
- To advocate and negotiate;
- Rhetorical knowledge to improve public appearances of employees and executives of the corporation;
- Learn about the value of public relations, so they can understand it and provide all relevant information related to the operation of the corporation and the value of the product in a professional manner;
- Know the techniques of oral and written communication;
- To advocate properly, negotiate, lobby;
- To learn about communication techniques of direct and indirect marketing;
- The ability to act in emergency situations in corporations, especially in the development of contingency plans that is nowadays an enigma for many corporations because they do not have qualified people who would be able to anticipate and respond in a professional manner in a crisis situation and others.

Our goal is to enable students through practical work in corporations to explore and identify gaps in communication of modern corporations and to improve their work using those insights. To this end, it is impossible to imagine modern business without the knowledge of the communication process within and outside the corporation. This area of science will be defined in the coming period due to the fact that many corporations recognize the need for a more professional approach of the organization of the communication process in corporate systems.

Management in tourism, hospitality and service sectors

After graduation, students will gain knowledge and skills in management in tourism, hotel service and hospitality services including: - The ability to implement various microeconomic principles in analysing problems;
- Use of the basic principles of consumer behaviour, companies and markets in the analysis of trends;
- Master the terminology, basic concepts and contemporary macroeconomic theories;
- Exploring the skills of verbal and non-verbal communication;
- Skills needed for managers: leadership, ways of decision making, motivation, organization, etc.;
- Exploring methods of evaluating potential and actual tourist attractions;
- Exploring the techniques of keeping documentation on tourist attractions at the tourist destination;
- Organize effective protection from destruction, damage and irrational use of tourist destinations;
- The application of information technology in tourism;
- Acquisition of knowledge about the ways and possibilities of tourism management at the destination;
- Acquisition of knowledge and skills of marketing in creating and maintaining a successful tourist destinations;
- The acquisition of the necessary knowledge for successful management of the hotel and an insight into the importance of creativity and innovation in the hotel business;
- The ability to assess the quality and the role of design in the tourism and hospitality;
- Understanding of the concept of hotel information systems and linking them to other systems in tourism.
