Energetics

Energetics is an economic activity that deals with the study and exploitation of different sources of energy and production of electric energy. It is essential for the development of the whole society. Modern economic development of any country depends entirely on the available energy resources, their utilization and application in production and consumption.

Energetics is also highly profitable industry. One such example is the enormous economic development of countries that have oil and gas sources.

The largest and most important energy source is water, or water power potential. An example of the power plant is Hydropower built on river, or damming river and creating artificial reservoirs or lakes.

Initiating the Energetics study at the "Logos centar" College in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other surrounding regions and abroad will receive a unique place for education and professional development and activities related to new technologies in the field of energy and environment.

The initiative was launched by the management of the College, and that it is a remarkable project with a huge scientific and practical potential, because such a study does not exist in Bosnia and Herzegovina or across the wider region, this idea is a good concept among scientific and academic circles.

This way Bosnia and Herzegovina will not remain in the practice of importing foreign knowledge, technologies and products, because of recognizing the need for education of its own staff. We have a teaching staff among scientists who already work on our "Logos centar" College in Mostar and in the related faculties in its neighborhood, the students are expected among high school of gymnasium and other professional schools of the wider region, as to whom this study program is not interesting?

The program is opened and adjusted for mobility, free movement of students, access to study and learning, and the necessary services and the free exchange of teachers and researchers in accordance with the Bologna process. Programs are comparable with similar programs abroad, and are expressed in ECTS credits with the possibility of the implementation of the program in English.

Energy management and Energy Efficiency

With knowledge and skills that are outcoming of the graduates of Study direction Energy Management and Energy Efficiency will be able to perform tasks related to the systematic energy management, energy efficiency measures appliance and sustainable energy management developing.

The graduates of Study direction Energy Management and Energy Efficiency will also be enabled to perform tasks in the field of promoting energy efficiency and sustainable energy management, continuous monitoring of new technologies in the field of energy efficiency, energy saving and the use of new technologies in the field of renewable energy sources, businesses in the field of construction, heating and air conditioning, etc.

Renewable Energy Sources

Knowledge and skills, and possibility of carrying out their jobs that graduates of Study direction Renewable Energy Sources acquire are providing specific advisory services to governments of industrialized and developing countries - regarding the policy on the use of renewable energy sources, technology transfer, development and capacity of building in the field of renewable energy, and research and development, construction, financing and exploitation of renewable energy sources in order to ensure reliable and cost-effective power generation and many others.

Maintenance of power plants

Graduates of Study direction Maintenance of Power Plants acquire knowledge and capabilities of conducting, maintenance and repairing of power plants and equipment, construction, maintenance and repairing of industrial machinery and equipment, and by doing that they provide to meet the high demands for quality and environmental impact, health and safety by optimizing energy consumption, energy automation systems, reduce maintenance costs, etc.

Thermotechnics

Graduates of Study direction of Thermotechnics acquire knowledge and skills, as well as generate employment opportunities in the development of design, management, installation and maintenance of heating, cooling, ventilation, air conditioning, and their components, such as pumps, fans, compressors, etc. They gain knowledge of various applications of thermo-technical systems, such as heating of residential buildings, industrial facilities, ventilation, air conditioning, installation of computer, etc., with special attention to energy efficiency, using renewable energy sources where possible.

Acquired title after graduation

After completing undergraduate studies, which lasts for three academic years (6 semesters), upon graduation, graduate acquires a total of 180 ECTS credits and a title: Bachelor of Energetics.

After completing undergraduate studies, which lasts four academic years (8 semesters), upon graduation, graduate acquires a total of 240 ECTS credits and title: Bachelor of Energetics.

Technical names will be aligned with the professional titles after his passing.
